Prawn Cocktail for Adults
This is my take on a simple classic. Dead easy to put together and I have adapted some of the components using what we stock in the shop. This is awesome placed in the middle of a nice fresh Ceaser Salad. Serve with a chilled glass of your favourite white wine or a nice home made Mojito. A real crowd pleaser!
- Fresh cooked and peeled king prawns
- Home made mayo or good quality shop bought
- Bottle of Mr. Vikkis Max's Sauce
- Paprika
- Fresh Dill (optional)
- Fresh Lemon
- Place the desired amount of mayo for the amount of prawns you have into a glass bowl.
- Add a dessertspoon of Max's Ketchup at a time till you are happy with the taste. The prefect result should be nice and tangy but not overpowering. You need to make sure you have the flavour of the sauce there though, add a squeeze of lemon.
- Add a good pinch of paprika.
- Hand mix this together till the sauce is nice and blended, taste again and make sure you are happy with the flavour.
- Add the chilled prawns and gently bind them in the sauce.
- Serve as you wish with a pinch of Paprika and dill to garnish, grab the wine and wow the guests. Great with fresh buttered bread as an addition.
- A perfect summer classic with a twist! To make more of a meal of it you can add halved eggs too. Or if you have a non seafood eater at the table why not do the same but with just egg for them?
